David Westerfield has been found guilty. This case has been blaring in front of my face for months, and I still understand very little of it ! I'm supposed to be a Legal Studies Major ! For some reason, I can't get pumped up about these media cases, like Keithenheimer when he sees Victoria's secret granny underwear on a mannequin. Looking at the LSATs and hearing horror stories from "sis" about how people quit their jobs just to study for that crazy test are as comforting and soothing as a walk across the hilly, shouting atmosphere of Immac. The made-in-10-minutes-yellow brochure for UCSC legal studies on my knee however offers some solace in saying that law school isn't the only way to go from there: "It is a good preparation for a variety of future activities. Students graduating in Legal Studies are particularly well qualified to pursue graduate work on legal topics in humanities and social science disciplines, or to attend professional school in fields such as public policy, business administration, social work, and law (no thanks !)."
