Dirty Work

I've played a lot of B-ball here. I learned that I don't always need to be the star.

Aside from my "fun" (work), it's been all about running to East Remote [also the same place where the original K-Dawg, super raD, and Jason parked] with my home-dog KDawgg124 and using Dan's twenty-buck ball to "shoot around."

Somehow, some way, we always end up playing a game. . .with people we don't even know. And to play really well in basketball, you gotta have Immackian COMMUNICATION (open and loud that is) with your teammates. And most of you reading this, know that I won't say a word until I really have to, same as KDawwg124. So it's always a CROWN UPHILL battle for us to get to really know our teammates' tendencies each game and for them to TRUST us with the rock. I try and earn that TRUST by doing the DIRTY WORK ('D-'ing up like the IRVINE Freshman people's report cards, chasing loose balls [can you find a better choice of words ?!], outrunning, and. . .just. . .plain. . .HUSTLING.

The DIRTY WORK isn't glamorous, but it does help me keep composure on the court. I love the DIRTY WORK. . .at least on the basketball court, because I can use all my ENERGY (eheh), and see what I got left. The DIRTY WORK gives me a niche, a role to play around with, and no matter who I face I feel like the S.Cruz WIND. . .
