There are NO good popular movies. . .

(I give Daredevil a 'C')

So. . .

See the Pianist at your local small theatre near you.

It brings the plight of Jews in Poland prior and during World War II to life.

It's historical undertones brought me in right away, but if you're just looking for a movie it's sort of like Castaway, except you feel more fear and sadness for the main character because of the random, MERCILESS, KILLINGS, BRANDINGS the Nazis laid on the Jews.

I also got into it because I was waiting for the defining moments when he'd play piano to save his life or something. . .boy was I pleasantly sur-frise.
