Lakers De-Throned. . .for one year (inspired by Gladys !)

Awww. . .I'll miss the silliness of Laker flags waving thru some chingos' Chevy Suburban, the all-Lakers-all-the-time news coverage for 2 days, PEOPLE (you know who you are) rubbing it in my face, and the parade with them yellow and purple jerseys that my bandwagoning dad has never failed to attend. . .NOT !

But really, there's no more reason to watch anymore NBA basketball this season. There's no more glowing effect around LA.

The Lakers simply lost the game because they lost their dominant aura. The aura that magically brought 3-pointer after 3-pointer down, dissolved a 15-point blazer lead, drained Robert Horry's shot against the Kings.

Was it the new Snow white home jerseys ? Was it the switch from the well-respected NBC to ABC, whose only other camera shots other than the game are focused on big boobs and Jack Nicholson ? Was it because the omnipotent Devean George hobbled on one leg for most of the Spurs series ? Was it because Mr. pretty boy bum Rick Fox could not play ? Was it because of Robert "Will Smith" Hor-rie's jumbled shot ? Was it because of Shaq's big toe as a result of wear and tear supporting a 7 foot 340-lb frame ?

It was just full circle that they got beat by San Antonio, capped by the crying of Fish and Kobe. I didn't want to see that. ABC is retarded. But Kobe sort of showed how much passion he actually has for the game so I can't exactly diss him for that. All ABC could do was focus on him. By immediately going to Kobe and his reaction, ABC also dissed San Antonio; as if it was not their game to win. Based on the twofold damage ABC accrued in that little tidbit, the NBA should terminate that ABC contract and IMMEDIATELY move basketball back to NBC. Maybe it'll get LA glowing again.

But hell no, I don't want to see that again.

Can't touch the Bulls.
